The secondhand book section at St Peter's Bookroom provides a unique, irreplaceable service for discerning readers of religious and spiritual literature. We meet a niche market.

If you are a student of theology, or someone interested in browsing high-quality secondhand books of a religious nature, we are a great place to spend time.
We house a large range of classics from CS Lewis through to Morris West, John V Taylor and Paul Tournier. There are books on Church History, Liturgy and a range of Bibles and Commentaries. As well as current prayer books and general prayer collections, we have older missals, including copies of the Book of Common Prayer and Hymns Ancient and Modern.
Affordable Prices
This area of the shop is a great success. The books are affordable and priced very reasonably. We undercut both eBay and Amazon in pricing our secondhand books.
Diverse Sources
Our sources are diverse and well established. Libraries and book sales provide a regular stream of materials. We also receive collections from deceased estates a few times a year. Donations from both retired clergy and laity are welcome - anything from a large donation to the gift of a single book. ​
